We are proud to have Dr. Mathew Yip as a lead educator at the International Maths Challenge. While a brief write-up about him doesn't fully capture the extent of his accomplishments, here's a snapshot of what Matthew brings to the table. Dr. Yip holds an astounding 18 World Records in Mathematics and Education, achieved in just 189 days. He is certified as the licensed primary and secondary mathematics teacher with the most world records and has been featured in hundreds of media outlets, earning a #1 ranking on Google News. His expertise has earned him global recognition, including over 40 international awards, such as the Lifetime Achievement Award from the UK Parliament. Dr. Yip was also named “Times Power Icons – Emerging Greatest Mathematics Educator,” and his achievements were showcased in Times Square, New York. Additionally, he was recognized by CIO Today as one of the "Top 5 Remarkable Leaders in Education" and by CEO Scoop as one of the "Most Influential Leaders Shaping the Future of Mathematics Education." Dr. Yip's influence extends across international media, where he has appeared in over 1,000 media cover stories, sharing the spotlight with figures like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg. He was named "Top Brilliant Minds of the World" by The International Magazine (TIM) and has been featured in renowned outlets such as Forbes, Fox News, and The Times, among many others. A prolific author and educator, Dr. Yip holds a world record for the most published works in mathematics education. He is the author of The Encyclopedia of Mathematics Teaching Methods and the Olympiad Mathematics Encyclopedia, both of which have been adopted in schools worldwide. His books are housed in over 80 libraries across the US, Hong Kong, and Macau. Beyond his work as an educator, Dr. Yip has made a significant global impact as the President of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute at the International Institute of Academic Research and as a Director at the International Academic Academy. He is also the Chief Mathematics Consultant at several institutions and holds over eight Mathematics Olympiad coaching licenses. Georgia brings a wealth of experience in mathematics education, algorithmics, and curriculum development, with a distinguished career spanning over 17 years in secondary education and over a decade in the computing and IT industry. As a seasoned educator, Georgia has taught VCE Specialist Mathematics, VCE Mathematical Methods, and Algorithmics (HESS) in both public and private schools across Victoria. Her expertise extends to curriculum development, teacher training, and leading student seminars, including revision workshops for the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) and Virtual School Victoria. Georgia’s contributions to algorithmics education in Australia are particularly notable. Since 2015, she has been instrumental in shaping and delivering the Algorithmics (HESS) curriculum, working closely with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), Melbourne University, and Monash University. Her dedication to promoting algorithmic thinking is reflected in her authorship of multiple textbooks, including An Introduction to Algorithmic Thinking and Computer Science A-Z Sampler. In addition to her teaching and authorship, Georgia has held leadership roles in innovative educational settings, such as her tenure as a Leading Teacher at CHES School. She successfully established and expanded the Algorithmics (HESS) program in a Hyflex learning environment, integrating interactive lesson designs, online resources, and collaborative projects. Georgia’s extensive involvement with VCAA as an auditor, advisor, and exam assessor further underscores her expertise in assessment and curriculum standards. She has contributed to the development of School Assessed Coursework (SACs) and trial exams, ensuring fairness and transparency in student evaluations. Her passion for education and her commitment to fostering mathematical and computational thinking make Georgia an invaluable addition to the International Maths Challenge. Mark Christopher Lilly is an internationally renowned mathematics educator with over three decades of experience spanning continents, curricula, and educational systems. As an honorary member of the advisory board for the International Maths Challenge (IMC), Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the global mathematics education community. With a B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from prestigious institutions like California Polytechnic State University and the University of Nevada, Mark holds a Lifetime Teaching Credential from the California Community Colleges. His career has taken him from the shores of Lake Tahoe to the bustling cities of China, Vietnam, and beyond. Mark's teaching portfolio is as diverse as it is impressive. He has taught over 190 classes across various educational systems, including Advanced Placement (AP), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), A-Levels, and American curricula. His expertise spans from middle school mathematics to advanced college-level courses, including AP Statistics, AP Calculus (AB and BC), and A-Level Further Mathematics. As a pioneer in international education, Mark has played pivotal roles in establishing and developing mathematics programs at renowned institutions worldwide. He has served as the Head of Mathematics Department at The Perse School in Suzhou, China, and was instrumental in setting up American AP curricula at Shattuck Saint Mary's in Tongli, China, and Dulwich College International program in Suzhou. Mark's impact extends beyond the classroom. He has conducted induction workshops for teachers across more than 30 schools in China and has created exams and curricula that continue to be used today. His expertise in statistics has earned him recognition as a 'foreign expert' in the field, making him one of the few statistical experts teaching in China. A lifelong learner, Mark has attended numerous workshops and conferences to stay at the forefront of mathematics education. His certifications include AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, and Cambridge International A-level and IGCSE programs. Beyond his academic pursuits, Mark is a world-class competitive ski racer, having represented Team USA in the World Winter Master's Games and achieved a silver cup in Speed Skiing at a World Cup event in Vars, France. Mark's unique blend of academic excellence, international experience, and passion for innovation makes him an invaluable asset to the IMC advisory board. His commitment to advancing mathematics education on a global scale continues to inspire educators and students alike, shaping the future of mathematical thinking and problem-solving across the world.

Matthew brings a wealth of experience in educational design, leadership, and innovation, having spent over a decade leading and transforming learning experiences in higher education. With a deep passion for advancing educational excellence and fostering collaboration, Matthew has made a significant impact on numerous institutions, driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital learning strategies and pedagogical advancements. Matthew has recently been appointed Deputy Director of Learning Design Futures at CQUniversity, where he will deliver strategies to position the university as a top provider of innovative and inclusive learning and next-generation curriculum design. As a Principal Consultant and Director of Learning Experiences at Curio Group, Matthew led multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver innovative online and blended learning solutions. His expertise in course design, project management, and stakeholder relations enabled him to shape the direction of major educational initiatives in both the public and private sectors. Matthew has also played a pivotal role in strategic growth and business development efforts, achieving outstanding results across the ANZ and UK regions. Matthew has worked with institutions such as the University of Melbourne, Cambridge, and La Trobe University, where he helped launch La Trobe Online and spearheaded initiatives to integrate active learning spaces, mobile learning, and innovative educational technologies. His leadership in digital education has helped institutions scale their learning programs and adapt to the evolving needs of students in an increasingly digital world. In addition to his extensive career in education, Matthew has been involved in numerous high-profile research and advisory projects, including collaborations with universities in Malaysia and significant contributions to the development of active learning environments at the University of Melbourne and the University of Tasmania. Matthew's dedication to transforming education through the integration of technology and forward-thinking pedagogy makes him an invaluable addition to the International Maths Challenge.
